• Position Responsibilities POSITION OVERVIEW The Network Engineer will make a critical contribution to the running of ASP products within the SunGard Investment Systems data centers
•  He/She will be responsible for ensuring the successful daily operation of all SunGard Investment Systems Network infrastructures, specifically changes that grant and/or revoke privileges to hosts and networks via routers, firewalls, switches and security devices
• ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Manages network and router configuration and troubleshooting
•   • Schedules and administers approved Firewall changes
• • Configures and manages site to site IPSec tunnels for external and internal users
• • Configures and manages security related services/devices such as Intruder Detection, and SecurID servers and keys
• • Manages security access to Data Center facilities
• • Troubleshoots and resolve network related issues
• • Install/Change/Remove network infrastructure as necessary to support business
•  This can include structured cabling, patch panels, cabinets, racks and assorted network hardware appliances
• • Implement new technologies as they arise to support new business
• • Support external and internal users via phone and on-site support
• • Update SunGard ticket/project reporting systems in timely fashion
• • Provide VOIP and Telecom network support and administration
