• This position manages quality assurance and testing of new and enhanced IT programs and applications
•   The Manager of Software QA and Test also oversees staff that provide detailed test planning, testing and debugging to ensure all IT programs meet corporate quality and audit standards utilizing test management toolsets.   Functions.Directs the IT Software QA and Test department, including the following activities:  providing guidance, training, and direction, hiring new employees, conducting reviews as scheduled, recognizing outstanding work, and counseling on performance issues, ensuring that it meets customer requirements in a timely and responsive manner 3 years minimum management experience and minimum of 5 years systems and programming experience with in-depth knowledge of software quality assurance and testing required
•   Management experience and people skills are a key requirement to successful job performance
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Must be able to explain technical concepts associated with software testing in layman's terms
• In addition, writing and presentation skills for communications at the highest levels of the company are critical
• Incumbent must have working knowledge of information technologies in use at BCBST
• This position must stay abreast of advances in software testing tools and techniques to provide accurate direction in technologies that will increase IT productivity and further the corporation's objectives
