  • PTC’s Technical Support Engineers assist customers world-wide in analyzing, tracking, and solving issues related to PTCs suite of PTC Products
  • An Associate Technical Support Engineer will develop expert communication, presentation and PTC Product skills as a result of working with customers worldwide in various discrete manufacturing environments. This position offers a candidate numerous opportunities to learn and use the world's leading solid modeling package. Engineers are offered a diverse work environment and strong career path through the variety of support positions New engineers are trained on how Pro/ENGINEER and other CAD tools interact with Windchill PDMLink
  • This covers not only the management of the CAD data, but also the tools for creating widely accessible 3d visualizations using PTC’s ProductView technologies
  • The training regarding the CAD interaction with Windchill is heavily Pro/ENGINEER focused on how the tool works with Windchill
  • It covers all aspects of PLM data manipulation from Pro/ENGINEER, configuring Pro/ENGINEER and Windchill for best client performance, and troubleshooting problems in these areas
  • The ProductView training will cover the various ProductView clients for working with the 3d viewable as well as the ProductView Adapters for creating the viewables
  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work with administrators and users from client companies on issues relating to integration of Pro/ENGINEER and other CAD tools to Windchill, and 3d viewable creation and usage
  • • Participate as a part of a team and work well with other groups such as Quality Assurance, Development, Technical Marketing and Sales
  • • Develop and improve technical knowledge of PTC products • Understand and apply technical support procedures and work instructions • File and track Software Performance Reports with the development department • Isolate and verify customer issues and develop workarounds where possible SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: • Excellent communication skills • Excellent Problem Solving skills • Experience with 3D CAD/CAM/CAE tools (like Pro/ENGINER, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc…) • A solid understanding of the Windows environment • Experience with ECAD tools (like OrCAD, Cadence, Mentor BoardStation, etc…) a plu • Familiarity with Database technologies (Oracle, SQL, etc…) or Web technologies (Apache, IIS, SSL, etc…) a plus • Familiarity with UNIX systems a plus • Interest in limited travel a plus MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: • BS in Mechanical Engineering WHY IS THIS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY?
