• Software Business Analyst Job Description: The Business Analyst will analyze business processes, modify and configure Golden Hour medical billing software and related business functions for its internal and external customers
• Analyzing then creating software requirement specifications will be a core responsibility. Other responsibilities also include assessing needs and formulating solutions through the use of Golden Hour and other software applications, initiating and leading related projects and providing day-to-day support of the Golden Hour software. Responsibilities: * Gather business requirements, design, develop and modify Golden Hour financial and operational reports and programs for all businesses * Create software requirement specification proposals
• * Work with business teams to gather business requirements, prepare, prioritize and deliver reports for all functional areas and business units across the organization
• * Assist with the continued rollout of more advanced reporting architectures throughout the company
• * Assist in QA/Testing of software systems
• * Partner with various business units in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved reporting processes
• * Work with application development staff to coordinate the creation and management of reporting environments
• * Take a lead role in the planning, design, development, and deployment of the reimplementation of the Golden Hour billing software modules
• * Partner with end users to define business requirements and system goals, and identify and resolve business system issues
• * Meet with decision makers and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
• * Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow
• * Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
• * Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
• * Help with the training of existing staff in the effective use of Golden Hour tools and maintenance of Golden Hour software
• * Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems

• Technical Skills/Minimum Requirements: * UML, Java/J2EE experience, OOD proficiency, DB Relational proficiency * Experience in all phases of the software development cycle: requirements analysis, functional design, technical design, implementation, documentation, software QA, maintenance and support
• * College diploma or university degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration and/or 10+ years equivalent work experience
• * Minimum of 5+ years practical functional experience with medical billing, A/R, A/P, G/L software * Excellent understanding of medical billing, A/R, A/P, GL tools
• * Knowledge of common best financial, accounting, and business practices
• * Strong knowledge of software system testing best practices and methodologies
• * Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software
• * Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts
• * Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem solving abilities
• * Experience with statistical reporting and analysis
• * Excellent project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures
• * Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user friendly language
• Candidate Requirements: * The candidate must be able to provide documentation to support ability to work in the United States within the federal legal guidelines
• * Candidate must provide 3 examples of software requirement documents that they have authored in the past 7 years

• Hours This is a salaried position with some flexibility in hours once on-call and support coverage schedules are worked out with the team
• Employees will be expected to deliver a full 8 to 10 hours per day, as needed
• Applicant must be willing to work additional or nonstandard hours to support delivery of time critical project deadlines
